Ryan & Claire’s Cincinnati Wedding

Ryan and Claire were flying into Cincinnati for their wedding so it was very important for them to have local vendors they could trust to bring their dream wedding to life. 

From their engagement session to their wedding day, I worked closely with Ryan and Claire on photo locations. I sent them images of various locations I have photographed at, as well as other locations that I thought would fit their vision. We ultimately came up with two outdoor locations for portraits.

The week of their wedding, we were keeping an eye on the weather as it was looking less than promising. We discussed a backup option just to be safe. July 15th arrived and we were under a severe weather watch. In an effort to avoid the rain, but stick to a realistic timeline, we agreed to begin portraits at the backup location. This location provided coverage from the rain, gave nice depth, natural light and was surrounded by lots of white which helped illuminate subjects on this very dark and gloomy day. We finished up the wedding party photos when the rain let up. We had about 30 minutes before the next storm came in so we hustled to one of our original locations. We made it to the P&G gardens. It is a unique location in the heart of Cincinnati where greenery meets neutral city vibes. We were able to finish all the portraits and make it back to the party bus before the rain came pouring down again. 

Throughout the whole experience, I kept Claire and Ryan’s vision in mind. I provided them with backup options and we were flexible with the timeline. They listened to my recommendations and trusted my experience which resulted in one gorgeous gallery and a very happy couple.
